Getting started
Open Better Battery and look for its battery indicator in the menu bar. Click the indicator, then choose Settings to adjust its design, percentage placement, charging display, alerts, and launch behavior.
Hide Apple’s battery indicator
Hold Command and drag Apple’s battery indicator out of the menu bar. You can also open System Settings, choose Menu Bar, and turn off Battery.
Notifications
Better Battery can alert you at separate charging and discharging thresholds. Enable the levels you want in Settings › Notifications, then allow notifications when macOS asks. You can change notification access later in System Settings › Notifications.
Open at Login
Turn on Open at Login in Better Battery’s General settings. macOS may ask you to approve the login item in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions.
Updates
The Mac App Store version receives updates through the App Store. The direct-download version checks for updates automatically and also includes Check for Updates in its menu.
